Abstract

This study aimed to explain the reasons for the occurrence of defects in the hadiths of Reliable narrators and the methods of Identifying the defects. The study followed descriptive method through which the researcher describing the phenomenon of the Reasons of defects in the hadiths of Reliable narrators and the applied method through the implementation of the reasons of defects in the hadiths of Reliable narrators. The study realized that the defects occurs in all the elements of the authentic hadith stipulated by the scholars in defining the authentic hadith, and that several steps must be taken in order to know the soundness of the hadith from the defects or its presence in it, and that the apparent defects may be removed by follow-up and corroboration, and this is by consideration and probing of methods, and it may be removed Acceptance of the hadith by traditionists, so the hadith is accepted and the effect of the defects disappears. The study recommended the need to pay attention to the science of defect of hadith, and to research it theoretically and practically. Many of the imbalances in the words of contemporaries on hadiths are a result of the shortcomings in the science of ills and the lack of awareness of its subtleties, and the need for a lot and careful reading of imams such as Ali bin al-Madini, Shu’bah bin al-Hajjaj and Yahya bin Maeen; This is because the scholars of hadith are unanimous in their progress in this profession and the follow-up of everything that is new in the science of ills in hadith.
